Conference Hotel: Crowne Plaza Hotel and Conference Center
New Multi-use Sports Complex! After several months of construction, the first phase of the new “recreational amenities” at the Crowne Plaza Tennis and Golf Resort will be complete within the month of October. Situated adjacent to the resort and located north of I-240 and only one mile from downtown Asheville, this complex will be a full-service, multi-sport and wellness center. Phase One includes rehabilitation of the existing four clay tennis courts (including lighting of two), six new “Hydro” clay courts (all with exceptional views) and four new indoor hard courts with new bathrooms, shower and locker facilities. A driving range is also being added along with the relocation of the Resort‘s Pro shop and Apparel Store from the hotel to the Tennis and Recreation facility. Phase Two As a part of the growth and renovation, Phase Two of the project will be a total re-design of the Resort‘s golf course. Extensive renovations began earlier in the year for the course to become a 9-hole Championship Golf Course complete with new Bermuda seeded fairways, irrigation system, new cart paths and new elevated Bermuda tee boxes by Spring of 2009. “The Course Doctors”, known for their work on Fazio courses have been over the project. A two-mile jogging/hiking and biking trail with varied terrain and a large outdoor pool with a covered pavilion will also be added on the property. Thoughtfully designed to respect and celebrate North Carolina's unique natural environment, the resort greets visitors with towering stone walls, rich hardwood accents, sumptuous furnishings and, during the cool season, the comforting warmth of a grand stone fireplace. Here are a few of the and 17 King Executive suites, and 30 vacation villas snacks and drink specials Rooms in three price ranges
